ASK Foundation

ASK Foundation is the corporate social responsibility arm of the ASK Group, registered as a trust with the Charity Commissioner of Mumbai in November 2008. ASK Foundation was formed with a belief that all social and community initiatives undertaken should reflect the same rigour and strategic thinking as shown in business.

The Foundation has been actively involved in working for various causes like Education, Health, and Poverty Housing. ASK Foundation identifies promising social entrepreneurs and NGOs, and helps them scale their project by providing them financial and capacity building support. Collaborative management is the essence of ASK Foundation's successful functioning.

While the foundation has been set up in 2008, the promoters of the ASK Group, Mr. Asit Koticha and Mr. Sameer Koticha, have been significant contributors to various social organisations from last the two and a half decades through ASK Group and in their personal capacity as well.

• Through the tie up with Habitat for Humanity, ASK Foundation has built 1,480 houses for the underprivileged. And over the next 3 years, the foundation aims to build over 7,500 houses across the country.
• Given the lack of necessary diagnostics equipment in maternity hospitals, ASK Foundation along with its partner organisation SNEHA took the initiative to procure and install equipment in three maternity homes and one peripheral hospital in Mumbai.
• ASK Foundation with the help of Olympic Gold Quest, have identified the best and most deserving prospects and supports them for training, coaching, equipment, and other requirements. The Olympic Gold Quest has short-listed six disciplines viz. shooting, athletics, boxing, wrestling, archery, and badminton as the categories in which our Indian athletes will compete in.
• ASK Group, has taken up the task of setting up a world class convention centre and infrastructure support to one of the latest courses for Mumbai University. Apart from contributing to the project financially, the promoters will be closely involved in fund raising and construction of the convention centre.

Life Mumbai

A significant portion of the ASK Group's CSR initiatives since mid 2006 have been under the aegis of Life Mumbai, the Mumbai chapter of Life Foundation Rajkot. Set up in 1978, Life Rajkot is one of the leading, internationally supported and professionally managed Non-Profit Organisations (NPO) in India. Since the last 25 years, it has been striving to serve the marginalised section of the society in Saurashtra, Gujarat in India.

Life, Mumbai supports efforts in the development of society through institutional grants in the areas of education and health. Besides institutional grants, the organisation also helps governmental organisations to upgrade their educational and health care infrastructure. The uniqueness of the Mumbai Chapter is characterised by its stated philosophy of providing grants to organisations engaged in developmental and creative activities, rather than undertaking such activities on its own. In other words, Life Mumbai operates as a funding agency to projects of selected credible organisations, which meet its eligibility criteria.
